As part of our ongoing efforts to support our clients and provide services and support like no other, we launched a mini Facebook campaign for supporting local businesses and to raise greater community awareness.
Our latest client, the Bakers Hill Progress & Recreation Association, requested the inclusion of a community directory section on their new website. We worked with them to help spread awareness to the local community via social media. The complimentary ad campaign we ran, went for about a week.
About the Bakers Hill Progress Association
Based in Bakers Hill, Western Australia the Bakers Hill Progress & Recreation Association has been responsible for some of the amazing events in the ever-growing Shire of Northam. The Shire is now home to over 11,000 residents (as of the 2016 census). Top events just in Bakers Hill, range from the association managed Christmas Fair and Australia Day Celebrations. In the Shire, this extends to the Avon Valley Motorsport Festival and monthly market stall events.
Throughout the remainder of the year, the association leads and is involved in various projects and efforts to support the community and continue to enhance the town. I was able to get a peek into a future train restoration project, and a personal sighting (during one of our client meetings) of their most recently completed upgrade – an outdoor play space just by the town’s Recreation Centre, complete with community BBQ facilities.
Currently, the association is working on getting more awareness out about their activities and get more people involved. Here we helped them make connections by bringing local businesses and local sporting clubs to them with our Community Directory ‘Get Featured’ Campaign for the Progress Association’s new website (bakershillprogress.org.au).
A snapshot of one of the ads we posted:
The campaign was scheduled to run on Facebook and Instagram for Bakers Hill and nearby town residents from Janurary 26th 2021 to Feburary 3rd 2021. Following its completion, we saw a number of local businesses engage with the ad, mostly coming from Facebook. They submitted their details for their listing on the new community directory.
Moving forwards for more local businesses and clubs
